Bhunte on his way to his herd came across a strange gathering- where he saw an adult tusker named- Biliya. He was the one who crossed the elephant-proof barricade in Veeranahosahalli. He was training some of the tuskers and makhnas on how to cross the fences and proof trenches. He instructed “Never be scared. You all can do it. I did it! (he pointed the tip of his trunk towards him and boastfully yelled) We can easily cross all the hurdles to reach that village! Let them build the wall! Remember, we are born to roam around. No one can stop our quests for food and free movement”. Bhunte saw some sub-adult males, on the other side, trying to learn the technique. Biliya trumpeted

“Step-1: Gently touch the barricade to see if it has any ‘shocking’ energy.

Step-2: Push it hard to see if you can uproot it or climb on it.

Step-3: If you cannot uproot it, put your right foreleg out and gently climb from your hind legs.

Step-4: You will find your upper body out of the barricade, gently push the lower half.

Step-5: I know it’s tiring. But never give up. You put your hind legs out.

Step-6: And here, you out of your home.

Go and explore the resources around you. But, do not forget to return on time, before any of those two-legged creatures spot you. Trust me, they yell a lot and throw stones at you. It’s going to be tough out there. So, never forget to be home. On-time!”

Bhunte found Biliya’s instructions to be pragmatic and interesting. He shall too follow Biliya- when he grows as an adult.  He wished he was one of the folks gathered to hear Biliya…
